Good morning and happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are having a great start to the week, too! My husband and I had a pretty relaxed weekend; we strolled around downtown with some delicious hot chocolate and took some photos in low light. Then we checked out a thrift store that just opened up near our house (I found an incredibly cute and vintage necklace, can’t wait to show you!), and ate some yummy food at a few places. Then we cleaned (we love to clean together and I love that so much. I’m so grateful for a husband that loves cleaning as much as I do), then watched GET OUT!

You guys… I cannot even begin to explain how much this movie blowed my mind. It was so, so excellent in so many ways: the acting, the script, the cinematography… Honestly, it was probably the best movie I’ve seen all year. It’s classified as a horror film but I definitely think it’s more of a creepy thriller; nothing too intense on the horror side at all except language, which still isn’t that bad. In any case – WATCH IT! Please. If it’s one thing you do in 2017, it should be watching this movie. It was so, SO cool you guys. Ugh, I can’t get over it. So good. So well done. And SO crazy and anxiety-inducing but I promise it’s worth it. Just… Just watch it. You’ll thank me.

Moving on! I wanted to share this look today because I’m really feeling the holiday spirit coming on lately so I wanted to take some photos near a resort in the canyons and wear something bright red, so here you go! This blouse was such a steal from New York & Co. and the red tone of the shoes (from Express!) go with it so well. I layered a thick Elle cardigan on top with this pattern for some dimension and called it a day. I hope you all enjoy and feel the holiday spirit too; it’s all coming up so quickly and I’m so, so excited!
